Considering taking on an Apprentice?

ACE Training are a specialist centre for Brickwork, Bench Joinery, Groundworks, Maintenance Operations and Site Carpentry.

Our job is to provide top candidates who are focused and mature enough to begin their trade career with you. If you are taking on an Apprentice the learner will need to be supported on-site but there are huge benefits to committing to train a young person.

ACE Training & Consultancy Ltd works with employers of all sizes and provides high-quality Apprenticeship training to over 100 Apprentices across Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.

We work both with employers paying the Apprenticeship Levy and those who are non-levy payers. ACE holds a direct contract for non-levy Apprenticeship funding with the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and is on the Register of Apprenticeship Providers (ROATP).

We can access funding for Apprentices of all ages, subject to the status of their employer and value of employer contribution required.

We can also help companies who are registered with the CITB to access their apprenticeship grant system, even if those companies have contacted directly with ACE to train their staff.  Find out more here.

OSAT (On Site Assessment Training)

The CSCS card is now standard on most building sites, and this means that you or your staff may need to prove your qualifications and experience in order to work or contract on site.

On Site Assessment Training (OSAT) is a system for quickly assessing experienced staff in the qualifications needed to prove they can do the job. ACE can do this for you. This assessment happens over several visits, on site so that you don’t have to take time off to go to college, and after demonstrating various skills your staff will be awarded the appropriate NVQ certificate allowing them to access the correct level of CSCS card.

We can be flexible about our visits and who we assess, and if you are training Apprentices with us we can combine OSAT with Apprentice support visits.

I found my OSAT training easy and very interesting; all the site observations were pre-arranged to suit me and my clients. I would recommend ACE Training to any tradesperson interested in doing OSAT.
