Literally!  Well done to students from Oxfordshire UTC, Bartholomew School and Cheney school who have done a great job in the carpentry workshop getting some activities ready for the students who are starting our Summer Programme next week.  Nearly 40 signed up!

A great new Site Carpentry apprenticeship opportunity is coming up in Banbury.  We are in the process of setting up the recruitment on ‘Find An Apprenticeship’ but wanted to give you the heads up.  This position is with Tapper Interiors in Banbury.

You will undertake a Site Carpentry Apprenticeship but it is important for you to understand will not be a traditional construction environment. The company specialises in all types of interior fit-outs for the commercial, industrial and private sectors. You will be working on non-domestic properties including offices, showrooms, shops and warehouses, and will include working at heights.

Applications will be through Find an apprenticeship ONLY but while that’s being set up, please feel free to get in touch with us to register your interest and we can let you know when the applications are open.  Perhaps we could also have a chat about our Summer Programme for school leavers starting next week!  Contact Sonia or Lyndsey on 01865 370040.

Less than a week until the start of our annual Summer Programme, with a proven track record in helping ‘early birds’ who’ve just left school progress quicker onto full-time training or apprenticeships.  It’s a great head start for anyone looking to train up in either brickwork or carpentry and we know employers looking for apprentices really value the commitment our summer students show to spend their holiday time getting on the tools and learning.

There’s still time to sign up, contact Sonia King on 01865 3700404 or email for more info!

We are delighted to invite applications for two apprenticeship opportunities with the fantastic Ward & Co (Building Conservation) Ltd in Ibstone, near Stokenchurch.

Both the Site Carpentry apprenticeship and Brickwork apprenticeship can be applied for via ‘Find An Apprenticeship’ service (click on links above) with a closing date of 28th July.  Good luck!
